Job description
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the health and beauty sector, is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team based in Alton. This is a permanent role, requiring flexible hours for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and accountability for Engineering operations within the Alton business unit.
- Provide professional, high-quality leadership and direction to Engineering and relevant staff.
- Ensure operations on all equipment are performed to professional, high-quality standards.
- Liaise closely with Production Management to prioritise production planning and equipment availability.
- Liaise closely with Supply Chain Management to ensure effective maintenance schedules are issued and achieved.
- Design, coordinate and deliver effective maintenance schedules with the Facilities and Maintenance teams.
- Coach, develop and support the Engineering Leadership Group.
- Identify development opportunities for Engineering staff to achieve required target outputs and quality standards.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable record of leadership skills across large teams.
- Driven, proactive attitude with a focus on improvement.
- Ability to manage in a fast-changing, flexible environment with capacity for prioritisation and multi-tasking.
- A leader who can influence and develop teams to deliver excellent performance.
- Accurate with a firm grasp on data handling and analysis.
- Experience in planning, measuring, and managing production performance within a highly complex FMCG environment.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanour under pressure.
