Job description
Our client is currently seeking a Site Manager to join their team, working on Severn Trent Water projects in Leicester. This is a contract position over a 12-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily site operations and ensuring effective management of all civil engineering activities
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met
- Managing site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
- Monitoring project progress and preparing regular reports
- Implementing risk management strategies and mitigating potential issues
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring adherence to design specifications
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sector
- Strong knowledge of site management principles and practices
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications
