Job description
The Role
The role holder will be responsible for providing competent SHE advice, systems and assurance for multiple business areas or site(s).
The role will support the development and/or implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives for a business area or site(s).
There are no people management elements to this role.
Role Responsibilities:
Not limited to...
- Support the development, maintenance and/or deployment of a SHE management system (including objectives, processes and assurance) that meet the requirements of BAE Systems Operational Framework and International SHE Standards (such as ISO45001 and ISO14001) and supports the achievement of organisational goals.
- Provide competent SHE advice and support to Line Leaders within multiple business areas or site(s), enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area(s) of responsibility.
- Support activities associated with improving SHE practice and performance within multiple business areas or site(s) , including (but not limited to): deployment and implementation of SHE Policy and Management Systems, SHE objectives and targets, provision of competent SHE advice on risk management and control, collation and provision of SHE performance reports (such as injuries, audits, regulatory issues), investigation and reporting of incidents in accordance with regulatory and/or customer requirements, provision of an effective interface with representatives dealing with liability issues.
