Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contract position on a major highways project near Newton Abbot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing cost control, financial reporting, and commercial performance of the project
- Conducting cost analysis and preparing tender and contract documents
- Overseeing the measurement and valuation of works
- Providing support in contract administration under NEC option B and C
- Collaborating with project managers and site teams to ensure project success
- Implementing best practice procedures for efficient cost management
- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Experience in NEC option B and C contract administration
- Proven expertise in cost control and financial reporting within highways projects
- Detailed understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
