Our client, operating in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a skilled Material Handler to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the supply chain, encompassing incoming and outgoing shipments.
Reporting to the Team Leader for Material Management, the Level II Material Handler will be instrumental in maintaining departmental targets in respect to Operational Excellence and Customer OTIF. An understanding of export compliance, customer, and company procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate despatch paperwork, pick and pack to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Book work orders to stock and put them away in the correct stores location.
  • Control and order all packaging material.
  • Manage parts with shelf life constraints.
  • Perform daily cycle counts.
  • Generate all paperwork and labels, ensuring traceability for Temperature, Speed, and P&D products.
  • Handle paperwork and packing for shipments to Mexico.
  • Transfer and adjust stock on Baan ERP system.
  • Understand and apply reason codes.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping within the stores environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Baan or comparable ERP system.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Adherence to both company and customer procedures.
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills.
  • Experience within an aerospace stores environment is desirable.


Staff at this level are expected to be skilled across various store activities and have the ability to train others. Familiarity with company procedures and the importance of traceability within an aerospace stores environment is critical.
