Role Overview
This role is made up of 1 preferable and 3 essential requirements:
- Essential - Group Environmental Lead
- Essential - Systems and data development, analysis and administration
- Essential - Support to the wider HSE function on Environmental reporting
- Preferable - Experience in divestments and remediation
The role would suit an individual with a strong analytical mindset. They will have a strong experience environmental issues with an emphasis on carbon reporting and reduction, TCFD reporting.
The role is member of the Group HSE team and as such is expected to take a wider support role in areas of data reporting, verification, auditing and supporting cultural change.
Key responsibilities
- Support and co-ordinate the environmental improvement plans across the group of business
- Maintain and develop environmental reporting to:
- Support the Group commitment to Carbon neutral by 2030
- Forecast current and future carbon emissions
- Advice and inform business units on carbon reduction options
- Develop scope 3 reporting in a meaningful way
- Support to external reporting to the market, shareholders, and analysts
- Support internal reporting to the board and board committees particularly the sustainability committee
- Horizon scanning the external world for best practice, changes to environmental or sustainability practices, legislation and risk
- Environmental auditing across business units
- Support the wider HSE function in terms of data, information, audit and culture change

Security
Due to the nature of this position, as a minimum we require BPSS clearance and you to either already hold or be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.

Qualifications
