We're working with a leading provider of innovative solutions within the Smart Manufacturing sector, dedicated to delivering excellence in building automation and control systems (BMS). As we expand our service offerings, we are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Management System (BMS) Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a BMS Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting Building Management Systems to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with various BMS platforms including Trend, Siemens or Tridium, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular preventive maintenance and servicing of Building Management Systems.
Respond promptly to service requests and troubleshoot BMS-related issues on-site.
Perform system diagnostics, software updates, and hardware replacements as needed.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
Generate service reports and documentation for each maintenance visit.
Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements to provide proactive recommendations to clients.
Train end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of BMS systems.
Work closely with the sales and project teams to support system upgrades and expansions.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during service visits.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in servicing and maintaining Building Management Systems.
Familiarity with various BMS platforms and protocols, such as BACnet, Modbus, etc.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for both hardware and software components.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications in building automation or control systems are a plus.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service calls.
