Introduction

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating engineering projects within the Rail industry. This is a contract position based in York, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of engineers to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor project progress and perform regular quality checks

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in engineering management, preferably within the Rail sector
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of rail engineering principles
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Experience in project planning and resource allocation
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software/tools
• Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field
