Job description
Matchtech are recruiting for Senior and Principal level consultants to work on high profile mass transit projects in Toronto and/or Vancouver.
The skillset behind these roles includes: Rolling Stock, Infrastructure, Signaling or O&M.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, technically accurate analysis, assessment, reports, designs or other documents in support of client projects within timescales and budgetary requirements
- To supervise and coach less experienced colleagues and confirm that project activities are undertaken in line with company procedures and authority levels.
- To develop new tools/techniques to meet the needs of clients, identifying best practice from other markets or countries as required, and teaching new skills to others as appropriate.
- Plan and implement project activities, ensuring that they are undertaken within agreed resource parameters and delivered on time and with good VOC feedback. Manage medium-large projects or technically complex projects, leading and motivating team members and interacting with clients directly
- Prepare observations and assessment documents within RCT against engineering design and system assurance documentation and delivered assets
- Produce and provide technical SME inputs, methodologies, and information for business development activities and proposals
- Carry out qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
- Provide subject matter expertise to clients
- Representing the business in client meetings and workshops
- Collaborate with internal Ricardo stakeholders
- Team Leader or Capability Lead roles as required by the business.
- Supporting the growth of the North American business through delivering excellence to our clients
Essential Experience
- 10+ years rail industry experience, including at least 5 years' experience in either Rolling Stock, Infrastructure, Signaling or O&M
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Organized, flexible and able to meet deadlines
Preferred Experience
- In depth knowledge of CMREA / CSM / CENELEC standards
- Knowledge of the Canadian Railway System (including CMREA) would be an advantage
