Job description


As a Resource Co-Ordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing resource allocation and optimisation across projects. Your strong organisational skills will be essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of project and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a recruitment, labour/resource management, or human resources role. Previous experience in the construction or rail sector, specifically in managing and recruiting electricians, telecoms engineers, and operatives, would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Head of Operations to understand changing resource requirements
  • Maintain and update accurate resource tracker
  • Work with the supply chain to recruit additional resource as and when required
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with the supply chain
  • Benchmark rates, experience, and qualifications to ensure ongoing quality of resource
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a frequent basis providing analysis of resource statistics and trends
  • Manage the onboarding of new resource and maintain resource records
  • Ensure records are kept up to date to comply with audits and legal requirements
  • Organise and book training when required
  • Timesheet management and reporting
  • Sentinel Management, including monitoring expiries and ensuring compliance
  • Provide data for fatigue management
  • Booking of accommodation and travel when needed
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in resource-related matters

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • GCESE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
  • A-Levels or equivalent are desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or similar is desirable but not necessary
  • 3+ years of experience in resource management, recruitment, labour management, or a role demonstrating excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in social media, particularly LinkedIn
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong attention to accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of workforce planning is desirable

Package


The salary for this role is dependent on experience (£27k-£35k) and includes an employee bonus scheme of 12%. In addition, the company offers 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, and flexible working options.
