Job description
Our client, a renowned entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in the manufacturing of defence components, ensuring precision and quality in every task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating Bystronic Brake Presses of 3Metre and 4 Metre variety.
- Creating programs to align with 3rd angle drawings.
- Folding a variety of sheet metal parts within allocated time frames.
- Performing minimal maintenance on machine equipment and machines themselves, such as lubricating and cleaning the tools.
- Setting and calibrating tools on machines like brake press, Power Press, and Roll Former independently or with assistance due to their weight.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in operating sheetmetal machinery, specifically Brake Presses.
- Understanding of interpreting and drawing programs for 3rd angle drawings.
- Proficiency in folding various sheet metal parts quickly and accurately.
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Competence in setting and calibrating tools on various machines.
