Job description
Our client, a leader in the energy and nuclear sector, is currently seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join their team on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity involves working on the prestigious Sellafield Project, contributing to vital structural engineering efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and fit steel structures as per engineering blueprints and specifications
- Ensure all installations adhere to safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Perform site inspections and provide necessary adjustments
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent working condition
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports
- Adhere to project timelines and milestones
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in structural engineering and steel erecting
- Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Steel Erecting
- Understanding of energy and nuclear sector project requirements
- Ability to work under contract conditions, including travelling as required
- Capability to obtain a P4 Pass (assistance provided)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
