Job description
Our client, a respected entity in the HTP sector, is seeking a proficient Scheme Supervisor to oversee highway projects on a contract basis. This role involves working on-site to ensure groundworks are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site groundwork activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Help assist with site preparation, site setup and equipment.
- Assist and manage roadworks being completed by heavy equipment and machinery.
- Travel to site to help assist and manage works being delivered within.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-solve on-site issues and provide leadership to the team.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway groundwork and on-site supervision.
- Understanding of project management and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- Ability to operate and supervise heavy equipment and machinery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
- Relevant qualifications in construction or a related field.
