Register your interest

Thinking about relocating to another country can be a tough decision. You will have many things to consider and take into account. By registering your interest with us, your dedicated consultant will be able to provide you all the information you need to help your decision making.

Find a Job

Once you have registered your interest, your consultant will present you with more information from our client, where you will then be presented with a selection of roles.

Pre Screening

If you decide that this is the right for you and your family, then Matchtech will run through an in-depth pre-screening process before presenting your profile to Babcock Canada. This process will take up to an hour over microsoft teams.

Meeting Babcock Canada

Babcock are visiting a number of UK sites with their senior leadership team looking to meet with interested candidates. Your dedicated recruitment consultant will provide you with plenty of information on what to expect on the day and answer any questions you may have.

Interview

On the day of the interview you will meet with the Babcock team on an individual basis. You will be asked a range of questions including technical questions, competency questions and your motives on why you are interested in a move to Canada. Ahead of meeting Babcock Canada you will be supplied with plenty of information. Please read this thoroughly and come with any additional questions you may have.

Pre Job Offer

Before you accept the job offer, you may be presented with an orientation trip to make sure the relocation is suitable for you. An immigration representative will be on hand to guide you through the process. At this stage you will have been required to conditionally accept the job offer.

Next Steps

Once you have completed your orientation visit your onboarding process will begin. This will vary dependent on individual circumstances, and your dedicated consultant will be on hand to help you through the process.

What to expect

Moving to Canada is a real step, and we get that. Alongside your role, we help sort out the practical stuff too, relocation support, guidance on visas, and a clear steer on what settling in actually looks like.

Part of that is Security Clearance. Most roles require a check through Canada's Contract Security Program (CSP), sponsored by your employer rather than something you apply for yourself. It's a standard process, not a hurdle, and one we walk you through from day one.

In order to be considered for Defence roles in Canada, you will be required to already have Security Clearance.
