Job description
Our client, a leader in the energy sector specialising in renewable energy and Transmission and Distribution (T&D), is currently seeking a dedicated Asset Manager to join their team. This permanent position will support the management of critical offshore electricity transmission systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the asset management of offshore transmission systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Managing outsourced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) providers
- Developing and implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures
- Maintaining a risk register and managing operational risks
- Chairing monthly O&M provider meetings and managing outages in coordination with NESO
- Producing detailed reports for senior management, lenders, and regulatory bodies
- Supporting the development of tenders and due diligence for new investment opportunities
- Providing technical support and oversight for life cycle work management plans
Job Requirements:
- Experience in asset management, especially within the energy sector
- Proven ability to manage and negotiate contracts with technical and commercial considerations
- Strong knowledge of 132kv - 400kv substations
- Capability to form effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic yet assertive approach
- Degree-level education or equivalent in engineering (preferably electrical)
- Project management qualification is desirable
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in offshore transmission and subsea cables
- In-depth knowledge of electricity regulation and NESO
- Experience working with project-financed companies and advisors
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualification
