Job description
Our client, a leader in the communications sector, is currently seeking a Comms Engineer / Support Engineer for a contract role within the airport communications industry at Heathrow Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the install, commissioning, and maintain CCTV, PA systems, access control, display screens, and structured cabling infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys and produce comprehensive documentation supporting survey information both on-site and in the office.
- Provide project support, including assisting sub-contractors to arrange access and oversee their work.
- Work on-site during both day and night shifts as required. 5 days a week
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience Telecoms, Comms or data communications.
- Solid background in installing and commissioning communications systems, especially CCTV, PA, access control, display screens and structured cabling.
- CSCS/ECS certification is a must; SSSTS certification is preferred.
- Ability to produce survey documentation
- Ability to obtain a DBS check and subsequent Airside pass (5-year checkable work history required).
- Experience working at Heathrow Airport is preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to work a 7.5-hour day and adapt to working both day and night shifts when necessary.
