Job description
Our client, a leading entity in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Fabrication Supervisor on a contract basis to oversee offshore windfarm projects. The appointed individual will supervise the fabrication of Mono Piles (MP) and Secondary Structures (SS) for the HOW03 project, based in Teeside, UK. This role involves ensuring adherence to Ørsted Technical Requirements (OTS) and collaborating closely with the Fabrication Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the fabrication process and ensuring compliance with all technical requirements and safety standards
- Conducting inspections, preparing reports, and delivering training
- Providing effective supervision with a strong emphasis on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations
- Coordinating with other local subcontractors as required
- Monitoring project progress and proposing corrective actions when necessary
- Building and maintaining robust relationships with clients, coworkers, and the management team
- Potentially working extra days on weekends depending on project needs
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the fabrication and inspection of heavy-duty steel structures
- Qualifications such as IWI, IWS, IWT, or IWE in the welding discipline
- Frosio level III or NACE certification (preferred)
- Relevant degree in civil or mechanical engineering (preferred)
- Technical proficiency and adaptability, with strong communication skills
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
- Site experience in fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites
- Familiarity with the latest coating processes and technologies
- Capability to ensure understanding and compliance with specifications, HSE protocols, drawings, and documentation among team members
- Effective time management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a nationally diverse environment
