Our client, a reputable engineering company in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Junior CAD Technician to join their team on a contract basis. As a Junior CAD Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting a high-profile infrastructure project, with a focus on M&E, Communications, and Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and updating of 3D CAD drawings using Microstation software.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate and detailed designs.
• Assist in the development of detailed schematics and technical drawings.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with a 3D CAD software (ideally microstation)
• Previous experience in the rail industry is preferred but not essential.
• Some knowledge of M&E or Communications disciplines.
• Understanding of BIM.

This position offers a negotiable rate based on experience and skills. Initially, it is a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position after the initial period. The permanent salary for this role ranges between £30,000 and £40,000. The role will involve remote working with occasional site visits in London.
