Our client is currently seeking two experienced Drainage Engineers for a contract role supporting major highways projects. This opportunity is based on-site for a minimum of 3 days a week in Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day construction site support for Highways and Drainage
  • Responding to Technical Queries (TQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Early Warning Notices (EWNs) related to Highways and Drainage assets
  • Reviewing Temporary Works designs related to Highways and Drainage for integration with permanent works
  • Reviewing and accepting materials for permanent works
  • Reviewing fabrication details for integration with permanent works
  • Producing as-built records of Highways and Drainage assets
  • Liaising with head office designers to address major technical queries
  • Ensuring health and safety standards within the organisation
  • Monitoring and supporting the Site Support Team to ensure delivery of contracted services
  • Coordinating with other sections' support engineers to maintain consistency
  • Meeting project time-frames and quality targets, while exceeding client expectations

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in drainage engineering
  • Strong understanding of highways drainage systems and associated assets
  • Ability to respond to technical queries and review complex designs
  • Experience in producing as-built records
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with designers and engineers
  • Capable of supporting site-based and office-based teams
  • Flexible and able to work on-site for at least 3 days a week
