Our client, a leader in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Requirements Management Specialist (Verification) to join their Rail Systems Engineering team in the Greater Toronto Area. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape urban mobility by planning and executing systems requirements activities for a major urban rail extension project. You will integrate new-build systems infrastructure with existing operational transit lines, leading technical processes, defining execution strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary experts to transform communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain IBM DOORS NG requirements repository, ensuring configuration control and synchronization across design activities
- Drive requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability to support compliance and alignment with project objectives
- Apply systems engineering principles to allocate requirements effectively across design teams and phases of the V-model lifecycle
- Capture and manage changes to the Project Agreement and related documentation in line with established change management processes
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in systems, electrical, or related engineering discipline; P.Eng. license in Ontario required
- Experience in systems engineering within transit or safety-critical industries
- Proficiency in IBM DOORS NG and strong understanding of requirements management and V-model lifecycle
- Familiarity with signalling, SCADA, communications, traction power, and overhead catenary systems; knowledge of Metrolinx standards is an asset
- INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification considered an advantage
