We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Architect to join the Technology & Information Architectures team, working on the BP ERP ESM - OPS programme.
Our client is BP PLC, a global energy organisation providing fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, lubricants, and petrochemicals. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high‑profile enterprise programme within a complex, large‑scale environment.



The Role
As a Technology Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering technology architecture for platforms, products, or engagements. You will define and own architectural solutions that meet performance, capability, scalability, and operational requirements, while aligning to enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
You will act as a subject matter expert, working across multiple teams, contributing to key architectural decisions, and taking accountability for design outcomes within your scope.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver technology architecture for enterprise platforms and solutions
  • Define architectural solutions that meet performance, scalability, and capability needs
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, guiding teams and influencing key technical decisions
  • Collaborate with and support multiple delivery teams across the programme
  • Take responsibility for architectural decisions within your domain
  • Develop and refine architectural frameworks to support evolving business and technical requirements
  • Lead technical discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise and strategic objectives
  • Analyse complex challenges and propose innovative, scalable solutions
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural designs
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and industry best practices


Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise or Technology Architect in large‑scale environments
  • Expert proficiency in SAP Profitability & Performance Management (PaPM)
  • Strong experience designing and governing complex enterprise architectures
  • Advanced understanding of Operational Architecture (highly desirable)
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
