Our client, a fast-growing and award-winning Civil Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy, is currently seeking Civil Engineers at all levels to join their dynamic highways team. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work on a range of fast-paced and complex schemes across various clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes
- Undertake design work in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations, and the SuDS Manual
- Ensure high-quality drawing packages are produced consistently
- Manage client interactions for designated aspects of projects
- Support senior team members with project completion
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Collaborate closely with local authorities, developers, and architects
- Attend client meetings and undertake site visits as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software
- Experience in drainage design and SuDS implementation
- Strong understanding of relevant standards and codes such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for Streets
- HND, BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering
- Working towards or holding professional accreditation with the ICE
- Experience within a civil engineering consultancy, working with various stakeholders
- Ability and willingness to learn various engineering software
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical reports (e.g., Flood Risk Assessments)
