Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association within the engineering education sector, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Instructor. This position is based at the training centre in Hull, offering a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering apprenticeship and adult skills training to company standards
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment for apprentices
- Ensuring all training meets Health & Safety guidelines
- Providing feedback and support to apprentices
- Maintaining accurate records of learners' progress and achievements
Job Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
- Proficiency in lathe and milling machine operation
- Safe use of hand tools
- Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics
- Understanding of Health & Safety practices and procedures
- A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification
- Good interpersonal and computer skills
- Full driving licence
A working knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable but not essential. Although assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, full support will be provided to develop necessary skills.
