Overview

We are working on a wide range of complex transport and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally - from urban developments and streetscape improvements to highways and public realm schemes.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join a collaborative and fast-growing engineering team delivering innovative, practical and buildable solutions across the full project lifecycle.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Lead engineering design, analysis, modelling and reporting
  • Deliver transport and highway infrastructure schemes
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients on projects
  • Manage projects independently, including programme and budget control
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and codes
  • Review and check technical work produced by others
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Contribute to client engagement and business development

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar discipline)
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
  • Experience in urban transport/highway design (e.g. S278, public realm)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and related tools
  • Project management experience (budget and programme)
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable

  • Traffic management or construction logistics experience
  • Drainage design experience
  • BIM experience
  • Exposure to OpenRoads / MicroStation
  • Site or delivery phase experience

Principal Engineer

We are looking for a Principal Engineer to play a leading role in shaping and delivering complex transport and infrastructure projects.

This is an opportunity to combine strong technical expertise with leadership, influencing both project outcomes and the future direction of engineering delivery.

The Role

As a Principal Engineer, you will:

  • Lead technical delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Develop practical, buildable engineering solutions
  • Manage project budgets, programmes and risk
  • Lead design reviews and ensure technical quality
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Drive business development and support growth
  • Mentor and develop engineers across the team
  • Contribute to technical standards, innovation and best practice

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
  • Strong experience in transport/highway design (S278, urban schemes)
  • Proven experience leading project delivery
  • Strong knowledge of standards and constructability
  • Experience mentoring and managing engineers
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Autodesk tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills
  • Commercial awareness (budgets, scope, risk management)

Desirable

  • Drainage design (InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage)
  • Traffic management / construction logistics
  • BIM and digital design workflows
  • OpenRoads / MicroStation experience
  • Site experience including delivery and inspections
  • Flood risk experience
