Our client, a leading company in delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive market, is currently seeking a Power Electronics Systems Engineer to join their team in Luxembourg on a Fixed term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform return-part analysis and identify root causes of defects in power electronic inverter systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
- Define system-level concepts and defect-resolution strategies, coordinating cross-functional competencies such as System Test, Hardware, and Software.
- Define, plan, execute, and critically analyse advanced test cases across Bench, HiL, eDyne, and Vehicle levels to support root cause identification.
- Participate actively in system design reviews, project technical discussions, and customer meetings.
- Serve as the technical interface with customers for defect resolution and related technical discussions.
- Track and report defect status, maintaining records in JIRA and monitoring relevant KPIs.
- Up to 25% travel required.
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering (Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics).
- Significant experience in automotive system development with a focus on automotive power and electronics.
- Deep understanding of system-level interactions between hardware, software, and vehicle use cases.
- Strong hands-on mindset, with the ability to technically lead and influence teams across sites and disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership, make sound engineering decisions, and drive topics to closure.
- Strong customer-facing experience with clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with strong capabilities in structured and systemic root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German is an asset.
- Valid driving license (minimum Category B).
- Experience with requirements and task management tools such as Polarion and Atlassian JIRA.
- Knowledge in test and calibration tools like ETAS INCA and Vector CANape & CANoe.
- Experience with communication and networking tools such as OBD scan tools and CAN bus analysis tools.
- Development and analysis skills using MathWorks MATLAB & Simulink.
- Solid working knowledge of ISO 26262 and high-voltage (HV) safety.
