Job Title: Senior Project Controller
Location: Warton Aerodrome, Lancashire
Contract: 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Rates: £35.67 ph Umbrella* | £26.57 ph PAYE

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to obtain SC clearance, complete BPSS checks, be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, have lived and worked in the UK for the past five years, and be a sole British national in line with UK Eyes Only requirements.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Controller to support the delivery of complex defence programmes. Reporting to the Project Control Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining project performance, supporting control account delivery, and ensuring project controls are implemented effectively across schedule, cost, risk and resource management activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Project Control Lead in delivering project controls across nominated control accounts
- Ensure project control activities are delivered in line with agreed processes and standards
- Develop and maintain project control structures, including WBS, OBS, RBS and reporting hierarchies
- Analyse project performance, identifying trends, variances and corrective actions
- Maintain baseline integrity through effective change control
- Implement and support risk and opportunity management activities
- Drive continuous improvement across project controls capability
Schedule Management
- Task generation and schedule maintenance
- Resource and cost-loaded scheduling
- Schedule status reporting
- Earned Value Management (EVM) support
- WBS dictionary management and BCWP reporting
Cost Management
- Cost accounting and reporting
- Budget vs actual analysis
- Forecasting and estimate-to-complete activities
- Cashflow forecasting
- Support Joint Cost Management (JCM) activities
Resource Management
- Resource loading and levelling
- Resource review support
- TM1 demand planning against project schedules
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential
- 10+ years' experience in Project Controls
- Strong scheduling, cost control and performance reporting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Project
- Experience with cashflow forecasting, variance analysis and integrated reporting
- Ability to operate effectively within a high-demand, fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Previous Defence or Air Sector experience
- Familiarity with PM Compass, Cobra and Predict
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
