Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's project team on-site in Skellefteå, Sweden. This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of heavy electrical infrastructure works for large-scale data centre developments, ensuring all site activities are executed safely, on schedule, and in strict compliance with high-specification project and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination and delivery of heavy electrical distribution, power systems, and associated electrical packages across the data centre lifecycle.
Review and interpret complex electrical schematics, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and submittals.
Assist with the implementation of site-specific QA/QC processes to ensure all electrical installations meet rigorous mission-critical standards.
Coordinate closely with electrical subcontractors, site supervisors, and the broader engineering team on daily site operations.
Monitor site progress closely and report on program status and milestones to senior engineering management.
Ensure all critical electrical documentation, including technical submittals, testing records, and safety documentation, is accurately maintained.
Attend site progress meetings, technical engineering reviews, and coordination planning sessions.
Liaise directly with the design team to raise, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding site installation details.
Assist with installation checks, verification, and testing of electrical distribution and supporting systems on site.
Support commercial management by tracking electrical variations and assisting with progress claims.
Identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues rapidly to prevent project delays.
Assist with the management and systematic close-out of electrical snagging items prior to commissioning.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience within the electrical construction or mission-critical sector.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working with complex electrical systems, including medium/low voltage power distribution, backup power systems, lighting, and associated data centre support services.
Strong command of construction drawings, technical specifications, and Scandinavian or international site safety and construction practices.
Strong technical understanding of electrical installation methodologies and testing protocols.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a large project team and coordinate multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
Prior experience working on hyperscale data centre, industrial, or regulated mission-critical projects is highly advantageous.
