Electrical Lead - Data Centre Project (Skellefteå, Sweden)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Lead to join our team in Skellefteå, Sweden. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will take full ownership of the electrical project lifecycle, providing the technical leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight necessary to deliver high-performance data centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of electrical project delivery. Your primary duties include:

  • Operational Leadership: Drive site productivity through the development and execution of rigorous daily and weekly work plans.

  • Project Oversight: Manage the full electrical installation process, ensuring all activities are coordinated with internal teams and external subcontractors.

  • Technical Coordination: Liaise with design teams, BIM professionals, and subcontractors to ensure the project remains strictly within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Lead the implementation of high-standard Quality and Safety procedures, ensuring all site protocols are monitored and strictly adhered to.

  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate site teams, including supervisors and foremen, to maintain peak performance and safety standards.

  • Resource Management: Monitor labour tracking and resource allocation, ensuring that people, materials, and equipment are effectively deployed.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and clients, maintaining clear communication and goal alignment.

  • Reporting & Governance:

    • Lead weekly project meetings, ensuring all actions are recorded, assigned, and closed out.

    • Prepare comprehensive weekly reports covering schedule performance (Planned vs. Actual), labour look-aheads, material procurement forecasts, and detailed variation logs.

    • Proactively identify and report on project risks, delays, or disruptions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience managing large-scale electrical projects (e.g., data centres, commercial, or complex industrial infrastructure). Data centre experience is highly desirable.

  • Education: An engineering qualification is preferred, alongside a proven track record of managing major electrical contracts.

  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.

  • Operational Excellence: Proven capability in managing project schedules, budgets, and reporting with high attention to detail.

  • Planning Skills: Excellent organisational abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and long-term project planning.
