As a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in the production, repair, and modification of company products, ensuring all work is completed to the required build standards, specifications, and quality expectations.

Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and must hold British Nationality as their primary nationality.

Working: 5 days onsite per week and this would be on a secure site where SC clearance is needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise a broad range of technical skills and apply them across multiple manufacturing activities.
  • Operate and maintain a thorough understanding of the equipment, tools, and measuring instruments used throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Meet production, inspection, and testing deadlines in line with operational requirements.
  • Accurately complete all manufacturing and quality-related documentation.
  • Consistently deliver work to the highest standards of craftsmanship and product quality.
  • Ensure full compliance with all manufacturing procedures, processes, and quality standards.
  • Certify products in accordance with established certification procedures.
  • Maintain product certification and approvals through regular audit activity.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements, contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
  • Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with colleagues to support team success.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must hold all of the following:

  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or Level 3 Standard).
  • A Level 3 academic qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Manufacturing (such as ONC, Diploma, or equivalent).
  • A Level 3 vocational qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Manufacturing (NVQ or equivalent).

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.
