Our client, a leading company in the retail sector, is seeking an Enterprise Services Principal Administrator for Cloud to join their IT team in a permanent capacity. This role is integral in transitioning the company to a modern cloud-native infrastructure while supporting the existing on-premises data centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate positive and collaborative relationships across current IT teams
  • Develop and maintain current and future state Infrastructure Landscapes
  • Create and maintain 3-5 year infrastructure roadmaps
  • Lead the cloud adoption strategy across the IT Organisation
  • Advise business and technology groups on future infrastructure solutions, outlining risks, costs, benefits, and capabilities
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, and emerging technologies
  • Identify infrastructure risks and propose alternatives and solutions
  • Ensure the overall integrity of the infrastructure architecture is maintained

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure as Code (IaC) covering Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Kubernetes, Entra, AD, and Azure Infrastructure
  • Clear leadership in infrastructure transformation with a focus on delivery and optimisation
  • Hands-on experience to educate current teams and accelerate BAU and delivery programs
  • Experience in Azure Networking (vWAN, Azure Firewall, Express Route) and Azure Policy Governance
  • Adept in Azure FinOps / Cost Optimisation
  • In-depth knowledge around infrastructure automation and orchestration (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, GitLab)
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Technologies, Ubuntu, Red Hat, VMWare VCF, Data Centre, Enterprise networking, WAN/LAN/WLAN, Routing, Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAN optimisation, ZTNA services, Load Balancing
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure Security, PAM, IAM, and Cloud Authentication
