Our client, a leader in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a talented Site Sub Agent to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will work within a live MOD facility, ensuring high personal standards and effective communication at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating effectively with site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, operatives, suppliers, and client representatives.
  • Maintaining high standards in health and safety and supporting others to do the same.
  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring team members.
  • Monitoring and recording delivery against the programme and construction methods, identifying shortfalls and devising mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining good working relations with the client, delivery teams, support teams, and supply chain.
  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly commercial forecasts and reports for your areas of the project.
  • Ensuring sufficient resources (labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors) are procured in time.
  • Managing the engineering team to ensure accurate and clear setting out of works before commencement.
  • Reviewing and ensuring Inspection and Test Plans and checklists are followed.
  • Ensuring daily diary records are maintained at a high standard.
  • Reviewing and authorising risk assessments and method statements prior to work commencement.
  • Devising site processes for maintaining records in line with client requirements.
  • Managing subcontractors and supporting the agent in cost management and programme production.
  • Promoting the use of BIM technologies as per project BIM Execution Plan.
  • Communicating with staff to ensure accurate records for measurement and payment purposes.
  • Reviewing the performance, development, and training needs of subordinate staff with the agent.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree, HND, HNC, NVQ in Construction, Engineering, Logistics or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in delivering construction, civils or logistics operations.
  • CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  • Management skills with control and management of employees.
  • Commercially aware with excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-focused skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Experience in lifting operations.

Desirable:

  • Qualified to ICE Incorporated level or equivalent.
  • TW supervisor or experience in temporary works (TW).
  • Experience with RC, marine civils, steelwork, or paint systems.
  • Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sectors.
