Operating from award-winning facilities in Poole and Portland, our client is one of Dorset's largest private employers and exports its luxury yachts to customers worldwide.

The Role

We are currently seeking skilled Plumbers / Systems Technicians to join our client's manufacturing team.

This is a varied and rewarding role that places you at the heart of the yacht-building process, working on a range of essential onboard systems that help bring these luxury vessels to life.

As a Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of numerous water-based and environmental systems across our client's prestigious yacht range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of fresh water, grey water, and black water systems
  • Testing and commissioning onboard plumbing systems
  • Installation of air conditioning systems and associated pipe lagging
  • Fitting displacement pumps and unvented hot water systems
  • Installation of bathroom facilities and sanitary systems
  • Working with Hep2O, ABS, and Geberit Mapress systems
  • Reading and interpreting technical and scaled drawings
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards
  • Supporting bespoke customer specifications and yacht customisation requirements

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can confidently read and interpret scaled drawings (1:10)
  • Have experience within plumbing, pipefitting, marine, construction, or manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
  • Produce high-quality work within tight tolerances
  • Have a positive, proactive, and coachable attitude
  • Take pride in delivering outstanding workmanship
  • Have previous scribing experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

Day Shift

Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30

Night Shift

Monday to Thursday 18:00 - 04:30

Please note that preferred shifts cannot always be guaranteed and will be allocated based on operational requirements.

Pay & Overtime

Your Pay

  • £15.50 - £16.53 per hour PAYE + 30 days holiday

OR

  • £17.52 - £18.69 per hour with Advanced Holiday Pay

Overtime

  • Overtime paid at Time and a Half (x1.5)
  • Enhanced rates available for weekend working
  • Overtime opportunities subject to business requirements
