Our client, a leading defence engineering organisation, is currently seeking experienced AsemblyTechnicians / Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join their team in Hampshire on an ongoing contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in building electronic equipment to the highest quality standards within the defence, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electro-mechanical products and electronic enclosures from work instructions.
- Carry out box build, cable routing, and final mechanical assembly.
- Install PCBs, connectors, and associated hardware into finished assemblies.
- Perform soldering to recognised industry standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality procedures and manufacturing documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and ESD-compliant working environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience in conventional soldering.
- Strong mechanical assembly skills using hand tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience working within defence, aerospace, rail, medical or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
