Role details:
Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to bring your RF design expertise to a dynamic environment, contributing to cutting-edge projects with the latest technologies in RF, PCB, and Module designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the full hardware lifecycle for products, from system concept through to detailed design, prototyping, test and verification, system integration, and production support
- Creating high-quality and robust designs and conducting design reviews
- Documenting and recording work products, maintaining configuration management, and providing progress reports
- Developing multifunctional RF PCB and Module designs using the latest technologies
- Designing test prototypes for validation and verification of development models, and supporting production tests
- Preparing robust manufacturing data packs and providing technical support to sub-contracts and manufacturing interfaces
- Collaborating with Systems, Test, and Electronics engineers to solve real integration problems on advanced systems
Job Requirements:
Experience in several of the following areas is essential:
- RF microwave sub-system design
- RF system test and integration
- Lab measurements such as signal generation, spectrum analysis, and vector network analysis
- Proficiency with microwave design tools
- GaAs/GaN MMIC design and application
- Design of passive microwave structures
- Understanding of low phase noise design and measurement
- Microwave component selection
- Technical report writing
- Experience with design reviews and lifecycle management
- RF design expertise
