Our client is currently seeking a Highway Engineer to join a project team on a contract basis. This role involves working on the A9, focusing on the design and implementation of highway changes, and supervises activities on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilising AutoCAD for design changes and modifications
- Managing and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Supervising on-site operations to ensure compliance with designs and standards
- Collaborating with project team members
- Balancing design work with necessary site visits and inspections
- Ensuring adherence to safety regulations
- Reporting and documenting project progress and any issues encountered
- Providing technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway engineering and designing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and modifying highway designs
- Experience in managing RFIs and supervising on-site activities
- Capability to work effectively both in office and on-site environments
- CSCS card holder
- Understanding of health and safety practices in construction
