Our client, a prominent consultancy in the highways sector, is actively searching for a Senior Highways Engineer to join their expanding team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of infrastructure projects across London, Manchester, and Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing highway design projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement highway infrastructure solutions
  • Producing high-quality technical reports and documentation
  • Providing expert guidance on transport planning and highway design
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
  • Overseeing project delivery to ensure timely completion within budget
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and consultants
  • Contributing to business development activities, including bid preparation and client presentations

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in highway engineering and infrastructure design
  • Strong understanding of transport and highway design principles
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design software
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartered status is preferred
