Our client, a distinguished leader in the rail industry, is seeking a dedicated Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join their permanent team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant building service projects and make a meaningful impact on the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in amplifying client brief
- Undertake condition surveys and reports
- Prepare feasibility reports and cost plans
- Carry out detailed surveys for equipment replacement
- Prepare design calculations with Hevacomp/Bentley Energy Simulator
- Prepare detailed designs and coordinate with the CAD team
- Attend design team meetings
- Prepare NBS specifications, equipment schedules and tender documents
- Review and report on tender prices and quality returns
- Attend and chair pre-start and site progress meetings
- Undertake site quality and progress inspections
- Review contractor applications and certify payment
- Act as Contract Administrator
- Assist and mentor more junior staff
- Assist in maintaining project QMS records
Job Requirements:
- Degree qualification in an Engineering subject
- Experience in electrical engineering, particularly within the rail sector
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience undertaking safety-related risk assessments
- Ability to manage significant building service projects
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Proficiency with engineering software such as Hevacomp/Bentley Energy Simulator
