Cable Jointer
Our client, a leading company in the power utilities and power distribution sector, is currently seeking skilled Cable Jointers to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves working on private networks and renewable energy projects, with a special focus on LV to 33kv installations.
Keen to speak with LV jointer looking to get into HV or Cable Jointer who are already at 11kv/33kv level who would like training up to 66kv
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out cable jointing work from LV to 33kv across various projects
- Participating in the installation of cables for private networks and renewable energy projects
- Ensuring all work is conducted according to industry standards and safety regulations
- Using specialised equipment and tools provided by the company
- Working efficiently to complete tasks within the allocated timeframe
- Adhering to company policies and procedures for health, safety, and quality
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
- Collaborating with team members and other departments
Job Requirements:
- Experience in cable jointing, especially from LV to 33kv levels
- Knowledge of installation practices for private networks and renewable energy projects
- Fusing and Linking
- HV Switching (Desirable)
- Familar with: PILC , Triple X , ELPE , Consac
- Ability to use specialised cable jointing tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Full UK driving licence
Benefits:
- £40,000-£45,000 per annum
- Van and fuel card provided
- Overtime available (time & a half)
- Door-to-door pay
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
