Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed inspections and assessments of building works to ensure compliance with building regulations
- Managing projects and ensuring they adhere to Class 3H and Class 3G standards
- Providing clear and detailed reports on inspections and compliance findings
- Liaising with architects, builders, and developers to provide expert advice and guidance
- Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
- Ensuring all construction work meets safety, structural, and other relevant standards
- Investigating and resolving any building control issues or complaints
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, findings, and actions taken
Job Requirements:
- Substantial experience in building control and knowledge of building regulations
- Proficiency with Class 3H and Class 3G standards
- Strong analytical and assessment skills for evaluating compliance and identifying issues
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and produce clear reports
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in building control or a related field
