Our client in the Defence & Security sector is seeking a High Speed Digital and Hardware Design Lead to join their innovative team. This is a permanent role ideally suited to someone passionate about working with advanced MPSoC FPGAs and AI acceleration hardware. This opportunity is based in either Stevenage or Bristol, with the possibility of a relocation package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high speed MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware solutions
- Collaborate with systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and production teams to specify and deliver optimised solutions
- Design high speed digital aspects and oversee all electronics design activities through the full product development lifecycle
- Support board level test and debug using VHDL, C, C++, or Python
- Ensure designs meet customer needs and maintain high professional standards
- Work within security constraints, ensuring compliance with required security clearance
Job Requirements:
- Solid experience in complex, high speed digital electronics design
- Experience in MPSoC FPGA, DDR and Flash memory, and high speed serial interconnect design
- Proficiency in SI and PI Analysis
- Familiarity with DSP concepts for SDR, radar signal processing, and optical sensors
- Ability to develop elegant hardware architectures through detailed understanding and collaboration
- Strong academic background to support this intellectually demanding role
- Excellent skills in configuring and documenting designs
- Strong desire to drive collaboration and ensure successful delivery
