Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support the procurement, mobilisation, and delivery of major outsourced contracts across highways and environmental services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile programme at a critical stage, supporting the procurement of a new highways contract while also contributing to wider environmental and leisure-related contracts. The role offers the potential for a longer-term assignment beyond the initial procurement phase, including contract mobilisation and ongoing contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the procurement and delivery of major highways and environmental service contracts.
- Manage procurement activities, tender preparation, and contract implementation processes.
- Work closely with consultants responsible for technical specifications, schedules, and procurement documentation.
- Support the transition from procurement through to mobilisation and operational delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the procurement and contract life-cycle.
- Oversee contract delivery, ensuring objectives, milestones, and performance standards are achieved.
- Support future procurement and contract management activities across additional service areas, including leisure services.
- Work alongside internal teams, consultants, and external providers to ensure successful service delivery.
- Contribute to strategic planning relating to long-term contract arrangements and service improvements.
About You
- Strong background in procurement and contract management.
- Experience delivering or managing highways, environmental, infrastructure, or public sector service contracts.
- Understanding of procurement regulations, tender processes, and contract mobilisation.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple work-streams and deliver projects to tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
