Site Agent - Interceptor Removal Project (North London)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee the safe and successful delivery of an interceptor removal project in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to programme, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.

The role would suit an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in civil engineering, utilities, deep drainage, water infrastructure, or major excavation works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to project completion.
  • Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Produce and review RAMS, permits and site documentation.
  • Coordinate temporary works, excavations and interceptor removal activities.
  • Liaise directly with the client, project managers, consultants and stakeholders.
  • Manage site resources including labour, plant and materials.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Ensure accurate recording of daily activities, site diaries and progress reports.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimise project delays.
  • Support commercial teams with cost control, variations and change management.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, drainage and underground utilities works.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors.

Desirable

  • Experience on Thames Water or major water infrastructure projects.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
  • NRSWA Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of interceptor removal, confined spaces or environmental remediation works.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene card.

You will have a proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects safely and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
