Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support high-voltage substation and transmission and distribution (T&D) projects on a contract basis. The role will involve managing EPC delivery, coordinating project stakeholders and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and in line with NEC contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of high-voltage substation and T&D projects from inception through to completion
- Leading EPC project delivery, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
- Administering NEC contracts, including change control, risk management, programme updates and commercial reporting
- Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery milestones
- Coordinating contractors, suppliers, engineering teams and other project stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with National Grid standards, health and safety requirements and relevant industry regulations
- Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions where required
- Providing clear progress reports and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Project Manager within the transmission, distribution or wider energy sector
- Experience delivering high-voltage substation projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract management principles
- Previous experience working on National Grid projects or within National Grid standards and processes
- Demonstrable EPC Project Manager experience across complex engineering and construction projects
- Understanding of HV electrical infrastructure, construction activities and commissioning requirements
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving abilities
