Quality Inspector (CMM) - Late Shift

CMM Experience Essential

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with proven CMM programming and inspection experience?

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment on a permanent late shift. This role requires a strong quality background, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience operating and programming LK and Mitutoyo CMMs. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing process.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 14:30 - 22:30
• Friday: 12:30 - 20:00
• 30-minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect components throughout the manufacturing process, including final inspection.
• Perform CMM inspection and programming using LK and Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges and other inspection tools.
• Raise non-conformance reports and support root cause investigations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders and concessions.
• Release inspected products to stores, assembly and packaging departments.
• Maintain product traceability and support MDR Quality Packs and customer audits.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Update inventory and quality records within company systems.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to achieve OTIF delivery targets.
• Promote a safe working environment and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience programming and operating LK and/or Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Strong understanding of dimensional inspection techniques.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience investigating non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.

Desirable

• 5+ years' mechanical inspection experience.
• Knowledge of FDA, GMP and ISO 13485 standards.
• Engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments.
