Our client, a leading organisation within the construction and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Document Controller for a cpart time contract position (2-3 days / week).
The role will support the effective management, organisation and distribution of project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, accessible and maintained in line with company and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the receipt, registration, filing and distribution of project documents
- Maintaining accurate document control systems and electronic databases
- Ensuring documentation is correctly formatted, version-controlled and issued to relevant stakeholders
- Monitoring document status and following up on outstanding reviews, approvals and comments
- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of document registers and transmittals
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other project teams
- Ensuring records are stored securely and comply with project procedures and quality standards
- Assisting with the compilation of handover and close-out documentation
Job Requirements:
- Experience in document control, project administration or a similar construction or engineering environment
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of document management processes, version control and document registers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with electronic document management systems and collaborative project platforms
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines
- A proactive and methodical approach to working within a busy project environment
