A specialist provider supporting major data centre construction and high-spec ICT deployment projects across Europe is hiring a Health and Safety Advisor for a fixed-term, full-time position based on-site in Linz, Austria - Austria-based candidates only.
No UK/Europe rotation.
You will work closely with the Head of Health and Safety and partner with Project Managers and site teams to drive practical, compliant and consistent safety standards across live construction environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement H&S policies, procedures and safe systems of work aligned to legislation and client requirements
- Deliver H&S training and toolbox talks / TBTs
- Complete risk assessments and advise on effective controls
- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance checks (processes and permits)
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventative actions
- Produce clear internal H&S reports and support continuous improvement projects
- Build strong working relationships with site teams and challenge unsafe behaviours when required
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' H&S experience on construction sites (data centre / high-spec environments beneficial)
- Strong risk assessment and risk management capability
- Confident communicator with strong written English
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) - mandatory
- ISO-standard auditing experience and incident investigation training - advantageous
- Comfortable working across multiple European/UK project locations (travel required)
Package
- Salary: €45,000 - 60,000
- 6 month Fixed-term, full-time, on-site delivery across multiple sites
