Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major delivery programme in South London. This long-term contract role will involve overseeing construction works from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of construction activities across a major data centre/construction project
- Manage project programmes, budgets and resource allocation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and commissioning functions
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective action where required
- Maintain high health and safety standards across all project activities
- Chair progress meetings and produce detailed project reports
- Manage project risks, change control, quality and documentation processes
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within data centre, mission-critical, commercial or major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and delivery methodologies
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders
- Strong programme management, commercial awareness and organisational skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and risk management procedures
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification is preferred
- Previous data centre project experience is highly desirable
