Our consultancy client is seeking a number of Senior Project Managers on a hybrid working basis to support their Water company client based out of Snodland.
The ideal candidate will be working at project manager or senior project manager and ideally be based in London/South East.
Our client are a world‑leading design, engineering, and project management organisation. Their Project & Programme Services team are proud to deliver on some of the most prestigious construction projects across the world.
This role will be supporting South East Water and our client has other significant projects across infrastructure including with HS2, Network Rail, National Highways, Combined Authorities nationwide, energy, defence, airports and utility companies.
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the region. You will bring your collaborative, motivated, detail‑oriented approach to a wide variety of complex projects across the region. Your technical competence, lateral thinking, first‑class communication skills, and robust commercial awareness will be crucial in delivering for end clients and local communities.
Responsibilities
- Water industry experience an advantage - candidates with other infrastructure experience in Utilities, Rail, Highways will also be considered
- Provide high‑quality project and programme management standards across the whole project lifecycle.
- Experience working under NEC3/4
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and milestones.
- Advise clients on the project cost, programme, risks and issues.
- Lead and manage multi‑disciplinary professional teams on various sectors (this role will be Water focused)
- Lead communications and relationships with clients and their stakeholders.
- Produce monthly reports including project programmes, risk registers etc.
- Implement effective and efficient communication tools.
- Develop delivery plans for projects, involve others and ensure objectives are met.
- Challenge the status quo and perform to a high standard in changing environments.
- Constantly pursue performance improvement.
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior colleagues.
- Conduct project reviews and implement corrective actions
Skills/experience/qualifications
- Hold or be working towards a Project Management Qualification with APM, RICS or similar.
- Experience in the adoption and management best practice Project Management techniques.
- Delivery experience in construction projects, especially in live operational environments.
- Knowledge of pre and post contract Project Management responsibilities and able to deliver this service effectively to Clients.
- NEC3/4 knowledge and experience
- The ability to manage a project throughout its lifecycle.
- Experience in regulated environments and internal and external governance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects.
