Key Responsibilities:
- Support Compliance Activities - Building LEV (local exhaust ventilation), fire safety, legionella - assessing current stage and driving what needs to support continuous development. Problem analysis and solutions.
- Review heating systems, chilled water systems, driving remedial actions through to completion.
- Support project planning activities as needed
- Asset replacement schedule - support a move to proactive maintenance.
- Supporting process and procedure capability development.
- Contractor/Vendor Management
- Management of work permits for high-risk work.
Key Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced Hard Services Manager - "been there done that".
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems commonly found in complex/advanced manufacturing facilities. Relevant qualifications would be desirable. For example, CIBSE.
- R&D or Advanced Manufacturing Building experience.
- Facilities & Building Maintenance background.
- Record keeping experience
- Demonstratable experience issuing contractor permits for high-risk activities. E.g work at height.
- Good communication & stakeholder management skills
