Our client is seeking a Site Manager to support a two-year transmission programme involving a two-bay extension. The role will suit a civil-biased construction professional with SR163 authorisation and a strong understanding of SR163 requirements, site delivery and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site activities for the two-bay extension project
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements
- Applying SR163 authorisation requirements across site operations
- Maintaining compliance with SR163 and relevant health, safety and environmental procedures
- Coordinating subcontractors, site teams, materials and plant
- Monitoring progress, quality and productivity against project milestones
- Reviewing risk assessments, method statements and construction documentation
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders to support successful delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience working as a Site Manager within the transmission and distribution, utilities or civil engineering sector
- Current SR163 authorisation
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SR163 requirements
- Civil engineering bias, with experience delivering infrastructure or substation-related works
- Understanding of construction health and safety legislation and site control procedures
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to programme while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
